Topic:
I will create a Audio CD with music portraying a wide array of styles and tempos.
Problem I am Trying to solve:
The problem I will solve is are cultures lack of connection with are mind’s eye, the music I create will be relaxing and connect the listener to their inner-self. I plan on solving this by the use of relaxing tempos and beats to relax the listener.
Why I Would Like to Solve This Problem:
I wish to solve this because I believe music is a wonderful tool for meditation and relaxation, I simply wish to share this notion with others. Also music is a great stress reliever; this will help others find inner peace.
The Learning Stretch:
This will go beyond my understanding of music and the mind; I will expand on my knowledge of music and its uses, thus creating better songs. I will expand on my understanding of the human brain and how it works thus making my notion plausible and achievable.
Project Components:
Music making/ editing program: I need something to make music with.
Paper: to write and compose ideas with
Physical Model of CD: I will put the music on the CD thus making it the physical model.
Written Music: the music on paper
Possibly instruments: to make music with.
Budget:
The cost will only be the cost of the CD, it shouldn't cost much.
Possible Problems:
The only problem would be the lack of having a music making program at home.

SD idea #2 Photoshop
Topic:
My topic would be a photo shot that will cover the topic of American lifestyles and fashion. This will be done by taking photos of people, items, and places to portray a mood.
Problem I am trying to solve:
I am trying to fix how "we as a culture" see ourselves. Im trying to show "us" and "what we do" in a way that will get people to change for the better. I plan on doing this by using images, showing them in a way that will get the viewers attention and get them thinking.
Why I want to solve this problem:
I want to solve this problem because are culture has taken a turn towards obesity, laziness, arrogance, self-centeredness, and the idea of "if I don't see it it's not a problem." These ideas must change, if they don't they simply will be are downfall, if not it will simply make us worse humans.
The learning Stretch:
This will go beyond my understanding of photography, creating a proper mood through art. The project will go beyond how I see myself and the world around me, thus making my art more personal and understandable.
Project Components:
Camera: I need this to take photos.
Paper: to outline what I want to portray and take notes on that subject
Physical model: I need to show my work so ill print the photos, thus being a physical model of them.
People: I need some subjects to photograph
Building or places: used to create the mood or be the subject themselves.
Budget:
The cost of the project would come from the cost of printing the photos. This will be a mid ranged budget.
Possible Problems:
Problems I may encounter would be finding the proper "model" for my idea or crating the proper mood.

SD Idea 1- Multipurpose magazine
Topic:
The project will be a magazine; it will cover a wide array of topics; such as video games, strategy games, current culture, new technological advancements, government, photography, fashion, news, movies, music, and the environment.
Problem I am trying to solve:
I am trying to create a magazine that can captivate a large audience and show the reader the teenage mindset. What i intent to fix is how culture sees the average teenager; it is intended to show that teenagers are will informed individuals. I plan on solving this with a "tomb”, of sorts, that will inform teenagers or any reader with information that will open there mind’s eye and change how they see things for the better.
Why I want to solve this problem:
I would like to solve this because it seems like a project that will take time to properly develop and will last till the very end of the due date. This project also just simply feels right and feels like it will work great if done correctly. The project also seems very informative once completed and hopefully teach people something.
The learning Stretch:
This will go beyond my current knowledge on many aspects. The project will expand my writhing capabilities on a huge scale, my current skills in writhing are pretty mediocre at best; I obviously can write a sentence, use decent punctuation, and sufficient grammar, but overall I'm no writer. I hope to change that to an extent. My skills with Photoshop and other editing programs are "good" I thought hope to expand these skills by making a flowing magazine, that is both informative and "good to look at." My understanding of the world at whole is good for my age, I guess, I simply wish to expand and broaden my view on the world, then share my findings. I will expand my knowledge by tying all these thing together.

-Photoshop: This will be my medium, it is where all the work will "fall" and "flow" thus being organized.
-Microsoft word: there will be a lot of typing involved in this project; I will need an aid in my spelling and somewhere simply to put all the words.
-Camera: For the Photography section.
-Physical model of the magazine: To show what I did and its final form.
-Paper: This will be used to put the work on in its stages of design and its final form.
Budget:
The cost of this project will be low cost; this is so due to that the only money involved will be the printing of the final piece.
